Tromso, Norway

Port day 6 the city of Tromso. We sailed down the fjord with a buddy boat Aida Luna. With it being Sunday most things were closed except the cafes and souvenir shops. We were going to take the cable car up the mountain however the top of it was in the clouds.

The port is outside of the town so either a 30/45 minute walk or a 10 minute bus to get there. Once in town we took another land train through the town to see the area, very pretty with pretty residential areas very close to the main streets. After the land train tour we visited the oldest wooden cathedral in Norway where Paul got free chocolate cake off one of the church ladies by paying her compliments. We could see across the water, the artic church designed like an iceberg although we didn’t go and visit it

We sat outside a cafe in the main square enjoying the sun and a coffee and Norwegian cake. We tried some reindeer sausage in a shop, I thought it was pleasant, Paul not that impressed

We chuckled at the name on the public loos, a lady got stuck in them which is not the first time we have seen that on our travels
