Port day 9. today was only a half a day in port and it’s not enough. We got the lay of the land on the hop on hop off bus. We got off in town and had a walk around, spotted the poshest Starbucks that we have seen in a beautiful building. Paul nipped in to get his Bergen “You are here” mug. McDonalds was also housed in a beautiful building, we didn’t nip in there. Plenty of shops and restaurants around the harbour, very pretty place. We will be back.
We made our way back to the ship as it was docked on the outskirts of town. We sat on our balcony to watch the sailaway, we had some pier runners who were 35 minutes late back to the ship, the ship had already pulled the ropes in as the runners appeared around the corner. There was big cheers and claps from everyone on deck.
