Trondheim
Port day 4. A city today rather than a village. Interestingly at all these cruise stops so far in Norway there is a noticeable lack of locals trying to sell their wares or offering sightseeing trips. In the Caribbean they are everywhere.
Weather was drizzling on the walk into the city however it cleared up by lunchtime. Lovely bright streets and gorgeous coloured wooden houses. Plenty of shops a mix of chains and individual places. We stopped off a local coffee shop and enjoyed another flat white. Very colourful in the city centre with the street of umbrellas. Lots to see in this city, marinas, rivers, churches as well as the interesting buildings
Back at the port we sat and watched the electric buses charging up via the overhead charger, I found this fascinating. We stopped to chat to a chap from our ship who was strolling along the dock with his blazer on he told us he was in a rush to leave home for the cruise as the taxi arrived early and he forgot to pick up his coat so he had no coat for the cruise 😮 we think he’s going to be cold.
A couple of interesting signs which wouldn’t get past the advertising standards agency back home 😂
We are sailing north today and have crossed the artic circle with the temperature at 7°C
